What’s In My Ipsy Glam Bag (May)

Hey all! Sorry I’ve been MIA for a bit, I was in Atlanta for my brother and sister’s graduation and then got maga sick. All the posts I had planned got pushed a week, including the newest Ipsy Glam bag!!

If you didn’t know, Ipsy is a great beauty subscription box (only $10 a month) that brings you new products each month, depending on your preferences in color and the type of product. Every month you get a new bag with a new set of 5 beauty products to try out and review, earning you points and gaining discounts for future items. One cool thing about Ipsy beauty bags are that I may not receive the same products that you receive in a given month. Each bag is tailored to the kind of products you request and regularly use. Here’s my FebruaryMarch, and April reviews if you’re interested in seeing what I’ve received in the past.

The Bag

I thought it was crazy ironic how the month that I’m flying to Altanta is the month where the design is a bunch of vintage STAMPS!! This bag is so cute, and is one of the coolest designs I’ve received. The design is actually only on the front, with a peachy pink color on the back and inside.

NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP, Soft Matte Lip Cream in Cairo

I actually received this same brand of lip cream last month, but in a different color. If you remember, my biggest complaint was the shade. I was excited to get a second one this month, but was disappointed by the color (again). Instead of going brighter/bolder, the color was more of a nude shade. Definitely not what I was hoping for…

ADESSE NEW YORK, Gel Effect Nail Polish in Oh, Cabana Boy

OOOOOOOOOH!!! You guys this nail varnish is the best!!!! The blue (which is called “Oh, Cabana Boy” — how cute is that!?!) is a very unique blue with almost a lavender undertone, which I love! You will need to apply a couple coats of this as it goes on a little thinly.

ELIZABETH MOTT, Shimmer Eyeshadow Single in Mermaid Teal

I cannot get over the shade of this eyeshadow, you guys. It’s called “mermaid teal” which, in and of itself, was the perfect choice for me. It’s a rich shimmery color that was the exact color as my teal hair last month. I’m only wishing now that my hair matched it!!

SLMISSGLAM, N15 Eyeshadow Brush

As far as brushes go, this one is super nice. Smooth, yet firm, bristles that are perfect for applying eye shadow. You can also dampen your brush for a bit of a bolder look when applying your color. I always love receiving brushes, and this one is a huge hit!

KENSIE, Loving Life Eau de Parfum

I don’t usually wear perfume that much, and if I do, it’s usually something fruity. I was actually really looking forward to getting the perfume since I’ve been wanting somehting a little less “girly”. I really love this perfume because it comes in this handy dandy spritzer bottle, and the scent isn’t over-powering like some “grown-up” perfumes can be.
Valued at approximately $18

As for the full value of all the gorgeous things, drummroll please! This bag has a value of about $69.49. For only paying $10 for the subscription, you definitely get more for what you pay for! I absolutely loved this bag. The items were super varied, and I loved getting the perfume (gives me a reason to feel fancy on dates with Chesh!) and nail polish. It’s a winner!

Thinking about joining Ipsy? Use this link to sign up today! Absolutely and totally worth it! Do you already have a subscription to Ipsy? Let me know what you got in YOUR April bag!

  1. I love Ipsy! I need to renew my subscription, it’s been a few years! I have to admit— I gifted some of the actual bags! Just filled with other fun things or if the gift was a spa basket with bath bombs etc I’d toss in a make up bag since they are so cute!!
