Almond Shortbread Thumbprint Cookies

“I’m really feeling shortbread.”

“What?” I glanced up at Allan, standing absent mindedly in front of the pantry.

“I’m really feeling shortbread. Like either buying some or making some or something.”

“I can make you shortbread.” I said, turning my head back to my laptop and pulling open the ever glorious Pinterest. “What kind do you want?”

“Those.” Allan gestured to the thumbprint cookie recipe with a perfect photo and even more perfect glaze crisscrossed over the cookies.

Hosting the Perfect Tea Party

It was December when the idea hit me like a snowball to the face. I wanted to host a tea party. A fancy tea party with finger sandwiches and cute deserts and teacups. All the women who I worked with along with the wives of the men I worked with would be invited. London Fog Shortbread Cookies

The weather has been getting warmer (kind of) here, and the snow is slowly making it’s descent into the earth. That means that on the weekends, I have no motivation to do anything other than make a cup of tea and settle into my chair with a book.
